About The Team

The CoverMyMeds Product Team is seeking an experienced leader to join us as the Sr Director, Product Operations. Together with our various business units, the work our team does ultimately helps improve the lives of our customers through innovative products and solutions.

What You'll Do

The Sr Director, Product Operations will lead a range of strategic as well as operational responsibilities in support of the Chief Product Officer. This individual will work closely with the Chief Product Officer, his direct reports, and Senior Leaders within the various business units and functions across the organization to lead, support, and coordinate initiatives to promote effective and efficient execution and resource optimization. This role is responsible for leading the annual budget and Long-Range Planning process as well as the strategic planning process, establishing and sustaining effective governance processes, and engaging and influencing collaboration among key stakeholders.

On a daily basis, this individual will work to promote coordination, alignment and appropriate transparency related to key impact projects and related activities. They will work across the Product areas to deliver thoughtful, insightful and high impact contributions for strategic results that enhance functional integration and project execution. The individual must operate as a strong team player, leveraging relationships, strong influence management skills, collaboration and business expertise. The Sr Director, Product Operations will lead program management activities as assigned and be responsible for tracking and integrating change and communications for these activities into the overall program plan.

  • Act as the right hand to the Chief Product Officer, collaborating on the development and implementation of business strategies to ensure product initiatives support organizational goals.
  • Partner with Finance closely on the development of a budget process including a consolidated functional budget and allocation model. Collaborate with Product leaders to allocate and manage funds in support of enterprise-wide and BU-specific intiatives.
  • Own the process of prioritizing cross-product suite top intitiavies including refining the initiative and ensuring that completion criteria have been met as intiaitives move through phases. Advocate for appropriate resource allocation to support these initiatives among technology and product teams.
  • Plan and build effective agendas for product leadership and other senior leader meetings. Manage and oversee the meeting cadence with leadership team and others. Facilitate meetings, achieve agenda outcomes, and track on post-meeting follow ups and accountabilities.
  • Expand bandwith and operational effectiveness by providing oversight for select high priority projects or initiatives from development to successful implementation with appropriate involvement of senior leaders.
  • Establish practices to operationalize key leadership behaviors amongst the leadership team, including establishing an enterprise first mentality, communicating with openness, and honesty, and debating, deciding, and committing.
  • Program management of key activities and initiatives that are segment-wide in nature, as assigned. Prioritize amongst competing demands to ensure proper focus and allocation of time and resources to the work that matters most. Establish effective mechanisms to communicate and report on progress.
  • Efficiently manage resource allocation and capacity planning to optimize productivity and project delivery in partnership with project team.
  • Oversee daily operations and strategy within the Office of the Chief Product Officer in collaboration with the Chief Product Officer to enhance team performance, operational efficiency, and strategic prioritization.

Skills You'll Need

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant program, product, and project management experience in related role, including extensive work with senior executives.
  • Product Management experience preferred
  • Business mindset: Able to understand the business and financial conditions, link work with business strategy, and identify ways to improve business performance.
  • Change management: Demonstrated experience in articulating the business case for change, evaluating change readiness, building and executing stakeholder plans and transition activities, and managing sustained change and transition.

  • Collaborative and Inclusive: Demonstrated ability to engage others, establish strong relationships, and build and maintain effective partnerships with a wide variety of people and leaders across the business.

  • Strategic and Business Orientation: Understands the Product strategy and key factors that influence and shape strategy prioritization and execution, internally and externally.
  • Executive presence: Experience working collaboratively and communicating effectively with executives and senior leaders across various functions of a large organization.
  • Program Management: Demonstrated experience in driving program management tasks, including building and tracking project plans, status reports, and mitigating business risk by highlighting critical issues to program leadership early.
  • Visioning, innovation and strategic thinking: Understands what is happening in the industry and market to define how to advise the business on how to adopt sustainable change; raises the bar and push for new and innovative solutions, challenging others to also translate creative ideas into concrete action-plans.
  • Large-scale project experience: Highly structured work style; able to translate large concepts and direction into discrete actionable plans.
  • Financial acumen: Capable of leading strategic financial planning as well as tactical budget management.
  • Adaptability: Ability to operate in an environment of rapidly changing priorities & roll with the punches. Adapt to change with good humor.
  • Efficient multi-tasker: Can manage multiple projects and competing priorities at any given time, focused on achieving the right outcomes.
  • Sector expertise: Significant experience within and understanding of the healthcare sector; knowledgable about each aspect of healthcare (e.g., providers, payers, distributors), policy / regulatory framework, innovative models and key trends.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree or relevant advanced certification is preferred.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$159,400 - $265,600
