Position Description: | The Department of French and Italian in the Division of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures at The University of Iowa seeks a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Italian for the 2024-2025 academic year. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach introductory and intermediate language courses as well as literary and cultural surveys. Education Requirement: | Ph.D. with a specialization in a relevant area of Italian studies in hand by start date |
Required Qualifications: | Native or near-native fluency in Italian and English and record of excellence in teaching Italian at the college/university level. |
Desirable Qualifications: | Experience with online/hybrid teaching; expertise in language pedagogy and the use of multimedia technology in SLA. |
