The Marketing Coordinator is an integral member of the Office of Admissions' Marketing and Communication Team responsible for all prospective student marketing outreach activities. The Marketing Coordinator will oversee numerous multi-channel recruitment marketing projects from initiation to completion by utilizing multiple technology platforms and project management methodologies, and will work with internal and campus-wide stakeholders to develop concise, compelling and original content in support of recruitment marketing initiatives.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree with marketing, communications, business or other applicable areas of study. Three to five years of experience in a marketing, communications or public relations area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of the master communication schedule that supports the University's prospective student recruitment marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with other Marketing and Communications Team members to determine appropriate schedules, deadlines and assignments.
  • Develop relationships with print and mail house vendors to seek ways to optimize print projects to lower costs and gain efficiencies in printing and mailing processes.
  • Oversee file management and archive systems for creative assets and design files.
  • Assist in creating compelling, strategically-aligned content for digital and printed publications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong project management and resource management skills with ability to set timelines, map milestones, meet deadlines, and resolve problems
  • Knowledge of digital project management tools such as Basecamp, Asana, Wrike, etc.
  • Proofreading and editing skills
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively verbally and in writing, and to interact appropriately and collaboratively with team members, campus partners and outside vendors
  • Ability to research and write content outlines for marketing materials
  • Ability to work independently while sharing ideas and working successfully as part of an integrated team
  • Ability to accept creative feedback and modify work appropriately
  • Ability to adapt to change and shifting organizational challenges and to manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines
  • Ability to work comfortably in a multi-platform environment
  • Ability and desire to continually develop and refine project management skill set


Remote Work Notice
Following successful completion of an initial training period, a hybrid remote work schedule may be available, subject to business needs and departmental approval. Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be cancelled.
