The Senior Director of Reporting and Technical Accounting plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely external reporting processes, including Form 10-K, 10-Q, Proxy statement, statutory and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SOX, SEC requirements, as well as statutory requirements. This role will research and analyze complex accounting issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and prepare technical accounting memos or whitepapers to document the company's position on specific accounting matters.
What You'll Do
Oversee the preparation and filing of all SEC reports, such as 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and 8-Ks, ensuring compliance with all disclosure requirements and deadlines
Lead the development and implementation of ESG reporting strategies and initiatives
Lead the technical accounting function, providing guidance on complex accounting issues, and ensuring adherence to US GAAP and SEC regulations
Responsible for financial due diligence, valuations, policy convergence, accounting and reporting of M&A transactions
Lead, coach and develop a team of accounting professionals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and external auditors, to ensure accurate and complete financial statements and disclosures
Monitor changes in accounting standards and SEC regulations, and proactively assess their impact on the organization's financial reporting
Enhance and maintain internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information
Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance to support business initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and any other areas that require interpretation of the technical accounting guidance
Provide guidance to Accounting & Revenue Operation, Tax, Treasury, Legal and Product departments on complex accounting issues and ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
What You'll Need
Minimum Qualifications
B.A./B.S. degree in accounting
12+ years of experience in technical accounting, SEC reporting, and/or public accounting experience
In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD)
CPA required
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of direct people management experience, including leading Directors and Managers
8+ years of public accounting firm experience
Extensive experience in ASC 606 - Revenue from Contracts with Customers, ASC 350-40 - Intangibles - Goodwill and Other, ASC 805, Business Combinations, ASC718 - Compensation (Stock Compensation), Topic 280 - Segment Reporting
Workiva platform experience
Experience in SaaS companies preferred
Strong business acumen, understanding of organization functions, processes, and systems
Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to extract information and drive solutions
Travel Requirements and Working Conditions

Salary range in the US: $174,000.00 - $296,000.00A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
