OverviewMicrosoft Investment Optimization (IO) finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving team at the forefront of Microsoft's Cloud-first strategy hiring for a Finance Manager. This role is at the center of the reinvention and innovation of our engineering resource allocation opportunity, with partnership with executive finance leaders and impacting company-wide decisions. This team/role has scope across 5 engineering organizations to enable a consistent, portfolio-based view and strategic approach to ensure Microsoft investments in engineering headcount resources are reflected in accurate, timely and industry-leading views. Responsibilities Design new approaches to collecting and evaluating financial data, and empower your team to drive improvements in data management through automation and early adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) tools. You'll lead and develop your team to translate data into actionable insights, and implement creative ways to communicate findings from data.Lead the effort to standaridize the headcount reporting views and work with Finance Data & Experience (FD&E) to automate.Partner with headcount subject matter experts (SME) for headcount forecasting process and providing guidance on drivers such as attrition assumptionsCreate and oversee management of a variety of financial and resource models for headcount to support weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting and forecast rhythms, co-lead annual engineering resource allocation process.Other Embody our culture and values
