Academic Partnerships assists primarily regional universities in increasing their access and impact by making their academic programs available to students online. The Manager of Strategy & Operations will gain exposure to all aspects of strategy work, including functional and commercial strategies in our product, marketing, revenue, and enrollment services functions. Working on a cross-functional project basis, Manager of Strategy & Operations will be responsible for understanding the highly complex data, helping to structure problems, develop hypotheses, and deliver value-add strategic recommendations to drive overall business growth. This role requires effectively managing uncertainty and ambiguity and the successful manager will excel in bringing structure and objective to tackle unstructured problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Data analysis: You'll be expected to handle highly detailed data analytics and facilitate the internal stakeholder conversations to execute data-driven strategy.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior management to define data analytics strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of data analytics initiatives, leveraging insights to drive business performance improvements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate findings and insights to diverse stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and team members, through compelling presentations and reports.
  • Form a deep understanding of AP's processes, systems/tools, personnel, strategic direction, and broader market ecosystem.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of data analytics projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with high proven achievement and quantitative proficiency
  • Master's degree in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science area is a plus.
  • More than 5 years' experience in data analytics and project management is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and other MS Office skills
  • Strong understanding of database management systems and SQL querying
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as Python and R, as well as data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
  • Experience in leading teams and people development is preferred.

  • Collaborative problem-solving mindset and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, driving change through influence
