Requisition ID req29130 Working Title Professional Intern Position Grade 09 Position Summary The Office of the President is seeking a motivated, team-oriented, individual to engage in an experience designed to provide on-the-job training and development for a recent college graduate. The Professional Intern will support day to day operating activities and provide administrative support. In addition, the Professional Intern will provide support for UNM 2040, Research and Public Service Projects, UNM Gives, and other events and projects. This position involves a high degree of interaction with staff at all levels of the organization, requiring strong communication and customer service skills. Additionally, candidates must possess the ability to work independently when necessary, be willing to learn and demonstrate attention to detail. Receives training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments. This is a fixed-term position, typically up to 24 months.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree obtained no earlier than 24 months prior to the date of hire; no previous work experience required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with MS Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
