Job Summary: The Product Manager serves as the voice of the business in setting the vision for software product solutions through collaboration with key stakeholders in alignment with the organization's strategy and goals. This position manages the overall relationship between product owners and customers with the goal of supporting the proactive identification of product solutions by diagnosing, developing, and ensuring successful implementation and ongoing support. This role will also provide direction and support to the product owners within their assigned area while collaborating with product owners throughout the organization to support the overall business. Essential Functions:
  • Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, model, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with internal stakeholders to make our digital tools come to life. Owns and maintains a prioritized work backlog for one or more Agile teams
  • Collaborate with business customers to cultivate an intimate understanding of their needs
  • Engages in analysis and decision-making processes for new initiatives
  • Bring in "big picture" thinking and seek to drive clarity among team and stakeholders
  • Participate in trade-off decisions between product scope, cost/resources, and timing, and be able to execute authoritative decision-making when required
  • Provides support and direction to product owners related to process problems with technology solutions. Serves as a change agent, guiding others in transformation
  • Participates in agile projects as the voice of your business colleagues and customers. Providing business perspective on day-to-day development and project delivery
  • Attends IT Change Control & Prioritization meetings
  • Collaborates with others to create and maintain a three-year technology roadmap for solutions supporting his/her area
  • Addresses impediments/issues in a timely manner
  • Ensures the maximization of investment and capabilities of the purchased or proprietary software products supporting his/her business area
  • Ability to communicate, pitch, and evangelize product features, technical designs, and product strategy to both a technical and non-technical audience with ease
  • Employs user-centered design and design thinking methodologies to bring world-class digital and/or technology-driven products to our customers; Understands business processes that occur upstream and downstream relating to product solutions
  • Leads cross-functional product teams and relationships to discover and build new digital or technology products, experiences, and features by collaborating with stakeholders and organizational leaders to coordinate product development efforts aligned with strategic priorities
  • Works closely with Enterprise and Solution Architect(s). Participates in the acquisition process of new technology solutions including RFP, SOW, MSA, and others, as needed
  • Works with business and Subject Matter Experts to understand business strategy and vision and then writes, refines, accepts, and prioritizes stories and/or features to support effective and compliant solutions while balancing investment and business value
  • Continuously leverages advanced data-driven problem-solving techniques and analytical rigor to understand and report on product and experience performance against KPIs/KRIs
  • Conducts internal and external research and conducts situational analysis to identify and apply industry best practices and trends to increase effectiveness of Digital or Technology products
  • Participates in enterprise-wide projects with direct responsibility to deliver outcomes according to the plan. Define the success metrics for your products and demonstrate user engagement, behavior change, and value of your product to clients and internal partners
  • Influences and motivates staff members to use HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools ensuring Legendary Customer Service with all services they deliver
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven expertise in product discovery, internal customer research and insights, design thinking or other discovery approaches, and business case development
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts into simplified solutions in a straightforward and understandable manner to multiple stakeholders
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of business Ability to work with UX teams to inform design of user flows and user interfaces
  • Proven drive and passion for maximizing our investment in software products to drive business growth
  • Ability to leverage data to tell a meaningful story
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are required
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of software tracking tools and methodologies
  • Ability to liaise between IT and business stakeholders to ensure collaboration and coordination

  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, rapid iteration environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to make trade-off decisions between possible and desirable, which requires a good sense of what is technically feasible
  • Ability to identify high-value activities that will bring ROI or differentiate our business from that of our competitors
  • Effective at influencing and convincing others into action yet able to also be a collaborative team member
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of eight years' experience in digital/technology product management, process improvement, business operations, and/or project management
  • Desire to learn and leverage Agile, Lean Product Development, and Lean Portfolio Management
  • Leadership traits, with the capability to motivate and influence others
  • Proven experience as a highly collaborative liaison between business and IT
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position may direct and manage employees within the assigned department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Travel:
  • Up to 20%, to include overnight
Physical Requirements:
  • This role frequently communicates with others, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and conference room AV/video equipment
Work Environment:
  • Works primarily in a professional office environment
  • Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
