Job Description
We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Finance & Restructuring/Corporate groups in our Dallas office. As a valued team member, you will provide legal administrative support in a fast-paced environment to attorneys and paralegals. Do you enjoy working with clients? Are you a strong communicator with excellent executive assistant skills? If so, we would love to hear from you as we build our team. This position will be on-site 5 days/week in our Dallas office.

In this role, you will:

- Provide day-to-day administrative legal support to attorneys.
- Create and revise client documents, spreadsheets and forms from drafts and originals.
- Calendar management.
- Communicate and work with clients, service providers, and employees within the Firm.
- Assist with time entry, open new matters, draft engagement letters and audit responses, process reimbursement expenses, maintain calendars, review and prepare billing invoices, and other administrative duties.
- Provide extensive work with file openings and bills.
- File paper and electronic documents and information promptly and accurately, working primarily in our document management system.
- Coordinate on behalf of assigned attorneys with other departments and offices to execute different assignments and projects.
- Organize and coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements.
- Provide support and assist other legal assistants with work overflow and vacation coverage as needed.
- Proactively solve problems and provide a high level of customer service to our attorneys and clients.
- May be requested to perform other duties not mentioned above.

What we're looking for:

- At least 6 years of legal assistant experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with heavy editing, formatting and comparing lengthy legal documents. Capable of initiating, drafting, editing and finalizing correspondence.
- Strong client service focus and skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a highly demanding environment with tight time frames and prioritize accordingly.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Strong attention to details and proofreading skills.
- Excellent word processing and organizational skills.
- Ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Occasional flexibility regarding work hours (overtime may be requested).
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
