Job Summary | Counselors within the center provide brief individual counseling, crisis services, outreach, advocacy, workshops, and therapy groups to UTD students. The center works as a collaborative team around initiatives to enhance mental health services for the students at UT Dallas. Counselors at this time are offering both in-person and virtual mental health services and are allotted one work-from-home day/week. Psychologist I position information:

Minimum Education and Experience |
Psychologist I Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or other degree acceptable to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP). One year, full-time, supervised, doctoral internship in an APA Accredited college or university counseling center or other relevant clinical setting. Psychologist II Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or other degree acceptable to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP). On-going continuing education requirements for licensing (20hrs/year). Texas license as an independent psychologist. Alternatively, licensed as a psychologist in another state with an expectation of Texas licensure within one year of hire. One-year, full-time equivalent, post-doctoral clinical experience in college or university counseling center or other relevant clinical setting. Psychologist III Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or other degree acceptable to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP). Texas license as an independent psychologist. 3 years as a licensed psychologist. |

Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
Psychologist I Provides clinical services under the supervision of an advanced licensed psychologist in accordance with state licensing board rules until they obtain licensure. May participate on one or more SCC or UTD committees. Psychologist II Provides clinical services as an independently licensed psychologist. Organizes a secondary functional area (i.e. Groups Organizer, Mind/body Lab Supervisor, Social Media Advisor, Outreach Coordinator). Independently contributes to a working group, program, or project within UTD or SCC. Psychologist III Provides primary supervision to doctoral interns in accordance with state licensing board rules. Coordinates a primary functional area within UTD SCC. May lead and/or actively participate on one or more UTD SCC, University, or external job-related committees. Remote Work Statement: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
