• Provide safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
• Provide patient care/function in a primary scrub position and takes responsibility for precepting others in the scrub role.
• Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures and serve as resource in area of expertise.
• Assure appropriate instruments/supplies are present and in proper working condition, and demonstrate ability to operate service specific equipment.
• Provide labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field and adheres to patient safety expectations.
• Perform other duties which support the operative team, includes following patient care hand off protocol, or standards, protocols and polices in collaboration with a RN/ACN.
• Actively participate in the quality improvement process.
• Involved in learning, self-improvement and performs as a knowledge expert and resource person for the service line.
