CNC Advanced Lathe/Mill Machinist- 1st and 2nd Shifts
Hourly Ranges: $23 - $36 compensation depends on experience.
ROLE SUMMARY
Operates a variety of CNC Lathe and conventional machines for production of precision aerospace components. Proficient in performing complex setups independently without supervision. Assists members of Production, Programming, Quality, and Engineering teams on NPI projects and capacity planning. Actively cross-trains less advanced machinists and assists administrative activities including continuous improvement projects. Performs all work with 100% adherence to PCX Aerosystems safety and quality policies.
ADDITIONAL ROLE INFORMATION
To maintain and operate Multi Axis CNC LATHE Machines daily. Set up the CNC LATHE machines to run the different operations/jobs and ensure that a quality product is produced in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Proof of education completion is required
7+ years of machining experience in aerospace manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to Read, Write, and communicate effectively in English required.
Proficiency with basic shop math, as it relates to part dimension and machine tool operation

Must be able to complete relatively complex arithmetic operations as it relates to machine tool
operations. Ability to apply concepts of basic math techniques.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in basic computer skills.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define and solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in
mathematical, diagram, written or verbal format. Ability to deal with problems involving several
abstract and concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving high speed machinery and mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. outside weather conditions, machine oils, metal fillings, acetone, paints, solvents, grease, cutting fluids, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock or vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
