    Overview

    The Solutions Architect provides support of product offerings and solution designs. This position assesses customer needs and tailors customized solutions that are moderate to complex in nature to fit the business needs. The Solutions Architect is well versed in all market offerings in the identified area of expertise and/or focus to fully meet customer expectations. Additionally, this position justifies costs related to the design, implementation and training. This position will focus on Security, Cloud and Mobility specialization with an underlying Routing and Switching design understanding.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions

    • Analyzes customer needs, issues and interests to formulate a strategy that will achieve business objectives
    • Prepares design, support, and management of recommended solutions
    • Provides live demonstrations for customers and sales teams
    • Strives to ensure a high market share of products and services by providing direction and information on the products and related services to customers, National Account Managers (NAMs) and /or others
    • Develops and maintains technical competency for all core products of C1’s core solutions
    • Provides direction and consultation to customers towards resolution of complaints for issues
    • Keeps current on industry changes, participates when possible in organizations directly involved with SME of products and services, and continually works to improve sales techniques and sales knowledge.
    • Works independently and as a team member with NAMs, major account support representatives, marketing, services, purchasing, etc. to achieve company major business objectives
    • Keeps advised on company policies, procedures, and objectives, clarifying them with a Manager when questions arise; is prepared to discuss these policies with customers
    • Works directly with key customer personnel to identify, establish, and communicate key performance indicators needed to meet customer requirements
    • Assures tactical and strategic delivery of services to the enterprise
    • Creates, reviews and/or evaluates technical business scopes of work
    • Develops and maintains solution ROI and TCO models as needed
    • Prepares product technical designs using manufacturer design tools as needed
    • Prepares BOM as needed

    Additional Specific Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide insight on Security opportunities and Risk discussions on vertical/industry specific drivers
    • Discuss Cloud based solutions on various technologies (Voice, Data, Disaster Recovery, etc)
    • Discuss advanced mobility requirements for Wi-Fi, BLE, IoT and tracking deliverables
    • Provide POC or Pilot direction within various industry related technologies
    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • 10+ years technical or operational experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent job related experience
    • Proficient at all Microsoft Office products; Outlook, WORD, Excel, PowerPoint, VISIO and SharePoint
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent relationship and collaboration skills
    • Evaluate and recommend vendors to be utilized for solution delivery
    • Relevant certification in e.g. Cisco , Palo Alto, Microsoft, AWS, etc. or equivalent experience
    • Subject matter expertise related to SIP, Virtualization and VMWare
    • Knowledge of messaging, conferencing, mobility, BYOD
    • Knowledge of product lines e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, various security vendors
    • Accustomed to working in virtual office environment

      Desired/Preferred Qualifications

      • Certified in at least 2 of the following CISSP ,CISA, Cisco Certified Security Professional, Cloud Architect, Cisco Wireless Associate and/or Professional, Cisco Routing and Switching

    Ability to handle multiple priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
